Co-executive produced by Martin Luther King III, Arndrea Waters King and Mario Van Peebles, who is also the director, The Beat Goes On is a multi-part docuseries that interweaves Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy with the urgent work of today’s generation of civil rights leaders and community organizers, all working to realize The Dream.
In partnership with the The Drum Major Institute and The Drum Major Coalition, the series will follow “the MLKs of today” across the nation as they actively engage lawmakers, change policy, broaden voters’ perspectives and challenge existing prejudice, all while connecting back to the roots of the movement.
