The Partners in Kind (PIK) Foundation has launched a 501(c)(3), bringing philanthropic perspectives to social impact entertainment projects, aligning philanthropic dollars, side-by-side, with for-profit equity investment.
To truly leverage entertainment as a tool for social impact, we understand that the industry needs a funding model that democratizes investment opportunities, empowers storytellers, and prioritizes projects with significant social value.
The PIK Foundation has developed a funding model, the first of its kind, designed to democratize the film and TV industry and promote social impact entertainment.
Problems with the Current Funding Model
• Risk Concentration • Limited Creative Freedom • Inequality in Funding Access • Lack of Social Change

How Partners In Kind LLC and PIK Foundation Work Together
For-Profit and Nonprofit Synergy:
Partners in Kind LLC operates as a for-profit business that invests in social impact projects. This entity works in tandem with the PIK Foundation, ensuring that both market-driven and philanthropic goals are met.
Side-by-Side Investment:
Donor funds and PIK’s equity investments are treated equally (pari passu) with other investors, meaning they share the same risks and rewards. This structure allows for diversified revenue sources, reducing risk for donors.
Diversified Revenue Streams:
Unlike traditional nonprofits, PIK Foundation has multiple revenue sources, including grants, investments, and loans, which help mitigate financial risks and sustain operations.
Our Project Ecosystem
To amplify Return on Impact (ROI), we build an ecosystem around each of our projects, designed to promote their message and their values across a variety of media verticals. This includes working with identified nonprofits and organizations that are already doing the work and having success.
